Photography tips

How this image was taken

With a focal length of 400 mm, I was able to bring the bear close from a distance, while the aperture of f/6.3 combined with a shutter speed of 1/250 s at ISO 6400 allowed for a sharp shot despite the difficult light conditions.

  • Use a long focal length to capture the animal in full frame and maintain a calm background.
  • Adjust your aperture to ensure the subject stands out clearly, even with branches in the foreground.
  • Select a sufficiently fast shutter speed to avoid motion blur and adjust your ISO value accordingly.
